Pearls Girl, Vino and Mail Express are the three for the shortlist here and Vino is taken to confirm the promise shown in some encouraging runs this season. Luca Cumani has a good record at the track and his Mail Express is respected despite finishing only sixth on his one start to date. A half-sister to the classy Le Vie dei Colori, Mail Express was denied a clear run on her debut on the turf at Lingfield, but finished to good effect and was beaten only two lengths. Given a clearer passage this time, Mail Express can go close. Pearl¿s Girl ran well to be a close fourth at Goodwood last time and with the second running well in defeat since the form has a solid look. Vino stepped up on his introduction for the season at Warwick when finishing a close third at Salisbury behind Usk Poppy. That was an improved performance and believing further progress will come about Vino can lead them home.
