Linas Selection, Lost Soldier Three and Palomar look the three for the shortlist, and Linas Selection is taken to continue his progression. Lost Soldier Three likes the track, having won this race last year. He needed one run prior to that success last season, and he has had that again this year, running third behind Alfie Flits at Pontefract. He comes here sharper for the run and is sure to be hard to beat, racing off only a one pound higher mark than when scoring last year. Roger Charlton¿s Palomar is yet to win in this country, but it looks only a matter of time judged by his staying on third in the Duke Of Edinburgh handicap at Royal Ascot. He looks set to appreciate this longer trip and is a live danger. Linas Selection has made enormous progress this season, following a close second to Papal Bull, with wins at Sandown and Royal Ascot. He won with some authority at the Royal meeting, having been stepped up in trip and he can relish this extra furlong and the weight he receives. Linas Selection can complete the hat-trick.
