Swinging Sixties beat a stablemate of Inspector Clouseau last time and is fancied to win again at the main expense of Black Jacari and Military Power. A nicely bred colt, the selection won well on his racecourse debut when not particularly well-fancied. He was keen on that occasion and looked as if he would learn plenty from the experience, and with the second running well since (first two well clear), a mark of 86 may not be the ceiling of his ability. Deadly Silence romped home in a weak race at Southwell recently and whilst he was well clear at the line, those behind were no great shakes. Black Jacari knows how to win and goes on any ground, whilst Apollo Shark has been off the track for a while and the stable are yet to start firing. The Doon Haymer's have had a good season, reaching the Scottish Cup final but their namesake has a bit to find today, whilst Inspector Clouseau should improve for a recent run and there is another in his sire's side to suggest that he will appreciate the step up in trip. An open affair and narrow preference is for Swinging Sixties.
