This doesn't look the strongest of York maidens and it call fall to the newcomer Govenor Eliott, Gunner Fly and Glenveagh are also worthy of respect. Mark Johnston has introduced some decent juveniles in recent weeks and the selection is certainly bred to go a bit. He is by Rock Of Gibralter out of a decent American dam. The market will of course be a good guide and if supported take note. Gunner Fly is another one to note in the betting as Paul Hanagan is riding Richard Fahey's colt in preference to Gala Casino Star. The best of the experienced runners should be Kevin Ryan's Glenveagh. He disappointed a little at Pontefract last time out, but ran a solid race on fast ground on his debut. Captain Macarry should improve for his debut run and could prove best of the others, but this race will not take too much winning and Govenor Eliott could be up to the task.
