Some interesting newcomers on show here, including Barouche,Sabre's Edge and the Goldolphin horse Singing Poet, but we'll give way to experience and give the vote to Tannoor. Michael Jarvis has been very patient with this son of Miswaki who hasn't seen a racecourse since finishing third in a decent maiden at York back in July. That followed an promising debut at Newmarket and if fit for this contest should take all the beating. It may pay to check out the betting in regards to newcomers, but Singing Poet is certainly one to consider on breeding. He is by Singspiel out of a Zilzal mare, and although he will probably need further in time, today's seven furlongs shouldn't be a problem. Ed Dunlop's Barouche and the Saddlers Wells colt Sabre's Edge must come into calculations but Tannoor looks the more likely candidate.
