Verdict
Some top stables are represented in our opening race, and it could go to Crystal Curling, with Corsican Native and Larkwing expected to run well. The Barry Hills trained filly looked a certain future winner when chasing home Magic Mimi, in what appeared to be a decent Nottingham maiden at the end of last month. Improvement is almost certainly guaranteed and she can beat off some well bred newcomers. Corsican Native is one such individual being by Lear Fan out of a Machiavellian mare. The owner Kalid Abdullah houses some talented juveniles with Amanda Perrett, and this could be another one. Geoff Wragg has had a quiet season by his standards but Larkwing has the pedigree to be a bit special and should be in the shake up. Cleaver and Sweet Repose are other debutants to keep an eye on, but on this occasion we will stick with the form horse and plump for Crystal Curling.
