Notte Italiana, High Frequency and Trebello are the three that catch the eye in this tricky contest, with Notte Italiana taken to come out on top. High frequency concedes weight here and this easy surface may well bring out the best in this son of Grand Lodge. He has been running quite well in decent company and the recent rain may enhance his chance. Trebello is worthy of consideration following some good performances on the all-weather, and although he was last when he encountered soft ground previously, that was on his debut and he can improve on that. Notte Italiana does look like a professional loser-this daughter of Mtoto has finished second on each of her last three starts, all at Catterick. However, this looks a good chance for her and her ability to handle the ground is the main doubt, but Notte Italiana gets the vote.
