Born Wild is the pick in the finale ahead of Kiama, Osolomio, Noddies Way and Star Rising. Born Wild is not one of Sir Michael Stoute's leading lights that is for sure, having been placed twice on the all-weather to date. The son of Sadler's Wells holds no fancy entries to date either, but the key to his success today is the step up in trip, judged by the way that he stayed on when chasing home Hernando Royal at Southwell. Victory here may well put him in the shop window for a future career over hurdles, but first things first, and he should safely open his account at the expense of some already exposed rivals. Kiama has failed to reproduce his close second to Key Time at Goodwood last August and looks as though he needs a step back up to two miles. Osolomio has been consistent in defeat at this level of late but will no doubt find one or two too good again, while Noddies Way, famous for making his debut in the Vodafone Derby, has not hit the target since having his sights considerably lowered. Star Rising has been hard to place over a variety of trips, but again it would be no surprise if he were to be in the shake-up either. With Frankie Dettori booked though, Born Wild will be a popular choice to open his account here.
