    Verdict

Quaroma put in a career best effort last time on her first attempt at six furlongs and can score here. The winner of a five furlong maiden at Nottingham last season, ground conditions would have been softer than ideal last time at the filly's first attempt at six and all things considered it was a decent effort. The exposed but versatile Punching was last seen finishing fourth at Ascot when never looking likely to get on terms and could well be in the grip of the handicapper. Rockfield Lodge won when dropped down to selling grade last month but has struggled on his return to handicap company since. The unexposed Kenton Street makes his handicap debut here after showing some promise in maidens, most notably on debut at Newmarket last backend, a maiden which was below average for the venue. Capone found the progressive Pavershooz too strong last time but Quaroma is the selection.
