In the selling nursery, Novestar is selected ahead of Blandys Wood and Hyper Viper. After a slow start, Novestar ran on well to finish third in a competitive Leicester seller last time and looks likely to get involved today. Blandys Wood's run behind Palm Court (who by now will have run in the 2.40 race on the card) stands up to inspection here as he drops to this grade for the first time. His stable is in form too. Hyper Viper, though, finished ahead of him in the same race and is, of course, one to seriously consider too. Weight In Gold was gambled on prior to her latest start so clearly has more ability than she has so far shown on the track, while the best of Seventh Cloud's selling efforts give her something of a chance. Once again, though, the selection is Novestar.
