Another big field, and little form to go on here, but we like the look of BRADFORD, whose experience could prove crucial in getting the better of likely rivals Astonishment and Syrian. We'll excuse Karl Burke's gelding his last run, when a disappointing fourth at Wolverhampton, as he may not have found the Polytrack to his liking. He's related to a number of winners abroad, and can take a time to get going, but he showed plenty of promise in his first couple of runs. He's kept in this sort of company rather than moving into nurseries; a first time visor could bring about further progress for the yard who do well here. he stays on level weights with most of the field with a five pound claimer on board. Astonishment is another that's qualified for nurseries but remains in maiden company. A couple of winners have come out of his previous races, and again the experience should stand him in good stead. As with Bradford, he's not got the best of the draw though. Syrian looks the pick of the newcomers, from the in-form Michael Bell yard. He's got a couple of fancy provisional entries, including the Derby, and is Hayley Turner's only ride of the night. Mark Tomkins has a good strike rate at the course, and Cornish Beau looks the pick of his two runners, the other being Walnut Rise. Any support for the newcomers should be taken note of, but we think it could be fourth time lucky for Bradford.
