Verdict
Prince Zafonic is a tentative choice in a wide open affair, Sand Repeal and Theflyingscottie are two obvious dangers. Gay Kelleway's charge disappointed a little last time out at Folkestone but is better judged on his previous run when just touched off by Gardesee at Ripon. The faster ground should be in his favour and he looks the best option. Sand Repeal ran out of steam in the closing stages over two miles last time out and will be suited by this slight drop in trip. Meanwhile Theflyingscottie won well last time out and has to be considered a major threat even with the rise in weights. Mabel is one to keep a close eye on in the betting, but the more likely winner is Prince Zafonic.
