Verdict
Yaqeen takes a significant drop in class here and can take this Listed contest, with Mango Mischief, Marzelline and Don't Dili Dali others for the short list. The selection steps up in trip from a mile but that should not be a problem and after being tried in both the 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Stakes on her last two starts, and running with credit in both, she is more race-hardened than most of these opponents and if running up to her mark then at these weights she represents a confident choice. Mango Mischief is proven in this grade, having won the Listed Hoppings Stakes at Newcastle on soft ground last time out by seven lengths. Mick Channon's mare has bags of stamina and experience on her side and can handle faster ground, so she should give the selection most to do. Marzelline drops back from 12f here, having not been disgraced in the Group 2 Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot. She has already won at this trip on similar ground, and this drop in class will also see her very competitive. Don't Dili Dali is another dropping back to this grade. This is arguably her best trip but although she has run well in higher company she has never really even stamped her mark at this level and may just be chasing place money. A good contest then for the track, and Yaqeen can take it.
