Verdict

A better effort at Newcastle last time suggested that PIVERINA is close to winning and she can take this race at the main expense of Sharp Sovereign and Generous Lad. Julie Camacho's mare won't mind any rain that falls in the build up to the meeting and with Simon Pearce booked for the ride she looks sure to run well. Her mark of 45 should be no barrier and from a good draw she is considered. Strike Force is another to come here on the back of an improved effort, Molly The Witch has won at the track before, whilst Altimatum has dropped to a very handy mark but is ultimately still a maiden. Pedasus is inconsistent but a repeat of his second to Blue Tango at Lingfield would see him placed at least, Ernmoor needs a market check on this return to action, whilst Sharp Sovereign was fancied at Newcastle last time (selection one place further back in fourth) and it will be interesting to see if the money comes again with a more experienced jockey booked for the ride. Generous Lad is another to consider with his Binnion Bay form looking solid enough, however we are happy to plump for Piverina.
