We open with a mare's only novice hurdle and SYNTHE DAVIS will not get a better opportunity to open her account over hurdles. She has been placed in all completed starts over the smaller obstacles and is taken to go in ahead of Viking Gold and Be My Light. The selection has ran in much better races than this and now being placed back in her own sex she is expected to win with Tony McCoy booked. Her jumping will need to improve as she makes mistakes in her races but she should really be winning this event. Viking Gold will probably give her most to think about. She ran well enough in a half decent mare's bumper and the switch to hurdles should bring out some improvement for this well bred jumps mare. Be My Light will also be in the shake up after showing decent bumper form. She should confirm bumper placings with Way Back When with vital hurdling experience under her belt. Other to note in the race are Way Back When, Detroit Red and Illegale but the vote goes to Synthe Davis.
