made all, ridden over 2f out, stayed on under pressure and strongly challenged inside final furlong, all out
held up in touch, smooth headway over 4f out, ridden over 1f out, kept on one pace
chased leaders, reminders after 3f, weakened over 6f out
held up, never dangerous
held up, pushed along over 6f out, weakened over 3f out
tracked winner, driven to challenge over 3f out, one pace from over 1f out
held up in touch, ridden and effort of 3f out, weakened over 1f out
in rear, never travelling, ridden and headway from well over 2f out, stayed on well under pressure inside final furlong, just failed
A number of these might improve for the step up in trip but, given that he has proven form at today's distance, Considine looks a worthy selection ahead of possibly Ceasar, Siegfrieds Night and Ilwadod. Considine very much appreciated the step up to today's trip when second at Sandown last time and, racing off the same mark today, looks set to play a leading part today too. Siegfrieds Night and Ilwadod meet on the same terms as when they were separated by two lengths - in the latter's favour - at Leicester over 12 furlongs on June 1, and it is hard to say which of them will be better suited by the step up in trip. Danefonique has just over two lengths to find with them on that form. Although she has not shown too much to date, Velvet Waters should appreciate today's trip, while Ceasar was unlucky in running when third at Beverley last time and, even though he has been raised four pounds for that run, can still go well over this longer trip. Frankies Wings is another that could improve for the step up in trip, a similar comment applying to Euippe, as it does to Canni Thinkaar, although she was beaten out of sight on her return for the season 25 days ago. All things considered, then, in another race that holds a number of imponderables, Considine gets the call.
