Kieren Fallon has some excellent rides today and STAR COMMANDER is certainly amongst them. Mark Tompkins' charge showed promise in his first season and very nearly made a winning reappearance at Goodwood where he was caught in the dying strides by Four Nations after taking the lead well inside the final furlong. Compensation awaits here though Blue Destination and Zakon are worthy opponents. The former was strongly fancied at Musselburgh in October but found Our Dynasty just too good while the latter was staying on strongly over 1m1f at Wolverhampton last time and will be suited by the extra. James Fanshawe's newcomer Fairest Isle is one to keep an eye on as she's bred to be decent at this trip.
