RAIN STOPS PLAY is now a nine-year-old and has had 11 starts over timber but his form still looks head and shoulders above the majority of these and a reproduction of his recent fourth at Perth would probably suffice here. Takaatuf's fourth at Southwell last time was his best effort to date over hurdles but he's still not managed to make the frame and probably doesn't have the scope of Alan Swinbank's mare Bonnie Baloo, who hasn't shown a lot so far in bumpers or over hurdles but has won a point-to-point so clearly has some ability.
