Mark Johnston has been firing the winners in so Topcoat earns respect despite weakening on his debut. He'll be better for that but Dougie Boy was beaten a long way when runner-up at Southwell and this looks tougher. Pickled Pelican is by Dylan Thomas out of a speedy mare who won twice as a juvenile. He looks a newcomer to follow as does SAMMINDER, whose yard invariably has some nice juveniles at this time of year and he has the pedigree to do well at this stage of his career.
