In depth

Verdict

Martineo was quickly left behind at Thirsk last month and this looks a better race. Hombre Casado was well backed when scoring at Nottingham and should go well again off a 4lb higher mark while Employer won on fast ground at Windsor before pulling too hard at Chelmsford. Echo Cove is gradually getting there and Vera Drake was a consistent sort in her first season, though is possibly a few pounds too high on her handicap debut and reappearance. MUTAFARRID (NAP) could be another for the in-form Burrows team as he looked to be crying out for a step up in trip when finishing a close-up third at Doncaster last month.
