Verdict

EYELOOL started joint favourite on his debut at Newbury but lost all chance at the start. He still ran an eye-catching race and, if getting away on terms here, should prove hard to beat. Yellow Fire is a danger as he showed good speed on debut at Bath and only weakened inside the final furlong. He will have learned from that, though could have been better drawn. Aurag is another likely improver while support for any of the newcomers would have to be taken seriously.
