Having had 31 entries at the five day stage, this has cut up quite badly, still that won't worry connections of Lakota Brave, who is take to land his 12th success at the expense of Whaleef. Tough and consistent, Lakota Brave has been a grand servant to connections, whether it has been on the All-Weather or on turf, and while he has something to find with Whaleef on official ratings, there are no iffs or buts with him. Whaleef looked a really good horse in the making when landing his first two races, before running into Compton Bolter in a Listed race at Lingfield as a three-year-old. Apart from one effort since, he has been on the slippery downhill slope and while there is no doubt he has his fair share of ability, it has been a while since he showed it. Of the others Holly Rose may be good enough for the minor honours, but it really does boil down to a match and Lakota Brave is the one to be with.
