Ex-pointer Kilbeggan Blade looks the percentage call ahead of Blue Sovereign and Westmeath Flyer. Kilbeggan Blade certainly appears no world beater on paper but he did plug on to take second in a Worcester event with the remainder well behind. That was his first run for a new trainer and hopefully some further improvement can be gleaned. Blue Sovereign was well touted ahead of his debut under rules. He has not been seen since on the racecourse and the market is watched. 11-year-old Westmeath Flyer won a selling hurdle at Southwell. He does have some fair chasing efforts in and amongst his runs although they have largely occurred when the mud is hock deep. Lowe Go had every chance of landing his first chase at Wincanton before unshipping Sean Curran. A chancey jumper, he would not want any more rain. Parsons Fancy won a mares point-to-point race in March but has shown precious little under rules. A poor race in which Kilbeggan Blade is offered as only the most tentative of selections.
