In depth

Verdict

Silly Wupple is chanced at the expense of Mey Clouds and Silver Dollars. The selection famously won a big bumper race at Aintree at 50/1 on debut but has made a habit of finding at least one too good over hurdles. His latest effort demonstrated that two miles is clearly too sharp for him and in anticipation that he will be capable of jumping a fence, we¿ll side with the step up in trip to bring about some much needed improvement. Mey Clouds was a bitter disappointment for odds-on players at Stratford. He had gone up the handicap plenty before that but his tendancy to chuck in the odd mistake saw him tire quickly. Silver Dollars attempts to graduate from the point-to-point world. A winner of hunters events at Cheltenham and Folkestone, he arguably won¿t want to see any more rain. Sarobar has made hay in very poor chases this summer but this represents a go against much stronger opposition. Poliglotti returns to chasing having campaigned in claiming hurdles of late. The remainder appear hard to fancy. Silly Wupple is the call.
