In depth

Verdict

Not an easy race for punters and we will take Norman Beckett to beat Dishdasha and Jass. Norman Beckett is an extremely quirky individual who seems incapable to read from a formbook perspective. He seemed not to get home over 2m6f on his latest hurdling start but we'll take the chance that he'll face the chase fences on his debut at this discipline. Dishdasha has been fairly busy over the summer period. He is invariably put in his place by anything of any ability. Jass was a fair handicap hurdler on his day. He is entitled to have come on for a recent pipeopener over hurdles. Art Historian has raced over hurdles in the past but barely gets the trip. Moon Star is another to have claims on hurdling form but he was more than a little sketchy at his fences on chasing debut. Plating hurdler, Pipers Legend had no realistic chance of beating Roby De Cimbre in a recent event at Newton Abbot but he did at least attempt to give Paul Nicholls' star a race of sorts. Havenstone looks moderate. A race where there is plenty of caution advised and Norman Beckett is the pick.
