This contest signals the increase in quality of Flat recruits to juvenile hurdling and WOOLFALL TREASURE is selected to land it despite this being his jumping debut. Last seen at Newbury in what has turned out to be a smart staying handicap, he has shown himself to have his quirks in the past but hurdling could well bring about the best in him. Colorado Blue is a smart recruit from Roger Charlton yard. Rated in the high 70s on the level, there would have to be reservations about him getting the trip if the ground were to ease but he does shape as one that will home. Ostinata caused a shock when victorious at Market Rasen last weekend. While he has the proven hurdling form in the book, he was nowhere near as classy as the previously mentioned two on the level. Highland Laddie attracted market support for his hurdling debut but flattered to deceive, looking a non-stayer in the process. Gary Moore's apparent second string is worth a check in the market but Woolfall Treasure was easily the best of these on the Flat and while that does not always translate to hurdles, he shapes as one that could do well over them.
