Gaining Ground might prefer a longer trip whilst Classic Rock is a previous course and distance winner but we give the nod to SIR BUMBLE who won two days ago. Michael Blake's option in this contest stayed on really well at Newton Abbot to beat Behind The Scenes by just over two lengths. Although there is a slight reservation that he turns out again so soon if he finds the same energetic performance here then he will take some beating. Gaining Ground appears to have a preference for tougher tests on the stamina than this race after having won over three miles last time out at Fontwell. This was the pick of his performances so far and it was on his first outing this year so he has to be respected. Classic Rock has winning experience at this course but not for four years and despite getting a second place in his last try this was twenty one lengths behind the winner. You Can Of Course could also lay claims for the major honours on the pick of his chase runs last year. However we opt for Sir Bumble to score here.
