A typically poor seller where there does not look to be too much between Barkass and KINGSHOLM and we¿ll side with the latter. The return to this course and distance may be the key here, as Kingsholm won over it in a minor handicap back in September. He sees this 9f out well, the draw doesn't look a major concern, and as one who acts well on the Polytrack surface we will take him to defy being 6lb worse off with Barkass than if this were a handicap. The latter was a Southwell winner over a mile last time, but he has not yet been tried over this far. Pedigree suggests he has a chance of getting the trip, but if Kingholm makes it an end to end gallop then he might have any stamina doubts exposed. Climate likes it here, but he has plenty to find at these weights and is not in red hot nick, Putra Laju has place claims if he can get back to anything like his true ability. Tallest Peak has to convince us of his stamina and we will take Kingsholm against the field.
