    In depth

    Verdict

Not a hugely competitive fillies' handicap and Night Storm looks capable of defying a 3lb rise for her recent Lingfield win and taking home the money, with Connotation, Daring Affair and Mollyputthekettleon others to consider. The selection is a thoroughly consistent sort, who already has a course win to her name and continues to pay her way for connections since being stepped up to longer trips. This surface and trip look ideal for her and with the confidence gained from that recent success she can hit the mark again. Connotation steps back up in trip and will probably be better for that. She needs a bit of a favour from the handicapper before she can win again, but expect Eddie Ahern to get her closer this time. Daring Affair will certainly stay this trip and can be competitive off this mark, though he would probably prefer a slower surface, this trip should suit Mollyputthekettleon once more. She performed well over it here last time, though a 1lb rise for a three length defeat looks a bit harsh and she may have to wait longer to break her maiden tag. But Night Storm looks capable of adding to her Lingfield win here.
