      Verdict

Jackstar returns to action having made a winning start over 5f at Newmarket nearly a year ago. But he’s penalised for that success and SHAMKHA is preferred. The latter is also returning from an absence having finished a close-up fourth over today’s trip at Chelmsford in October and Richard Hannon’s filly may prove good enough. Soul Searching was still beaten six lengths when runner-up over track and trip on her comeback while River Dawn is related to four winners and fellow newcomer Oasis Prince is a half-brother to a Group 3 winner though neither have had much luck with the draw.
