Al Nauowee has progressed in two starts and should improve again in this maiden while Scarboro Warning ran a promising debut and is on the shortlist but preference is held with Henry Cecil's KING'S BAYONET who is back at his proper level. The selection is bred for success as a youngster and we can ignore his latest effort when he was outclassed in a valuable race at York. His debut was run at this level where he only just failed to score and with his sire having produced winners here in the past he looks the call. Al Nauowee stepped up slightly on a promising debut, where the form is beginning to work out, to find just one marginally too good last time. We can expect further improvement on a surface which should suit. Scarboro Warning showed plenty of inexperience on his debut despite gamely placing in a big field at Thirsk. He should know his job better this time on a surface that he should act on. The rest in this field back limited appeal and King's Bayonet should score for top connections.
