WILLIAMS WISHES can get off the mark here at the fourth time of asking, with the likely challenges coming from Penyfan Dawn and Sagunt. Evan Williams' gelding has been placed in all his hurdles outings so far; closely related to a more than useful pointer, a break of several months between his second and third races may have left him needing that outing. This is a slight step up in trip on what he's faced before, but that looks to be a positive move, Sagunt finished just behind him last time out in what was a similar contest here, albeit over two miles. He's had a great year on the flat, but has yet to be placed over timber. Tim Vaughan's ability to take others' cast-offs and turn them into winners is probably second to none, but Penyfan Dawn has yet to live up to promise. A bumper winner when with Paul Nicholls, his jumping has not been faultless so far, but he did grab a place last time out. Again, this is a step up in trip. Seedless was going well on his jumps debut until falling; previously running on the flat with little success, Donald McCain must have seen some ability to take him and try him over obstacles. Market support may help the punter, but we'll side with Williams Wishes.
