Cake It Easy appears appears to be going the right way when beaten by Rifleman on his all-weather debut here recently, but the niggling feeling is that he is not going to improve dramatically. With that in mind, his likely odds make no appeal and we would prefer to nominate Toro Bravo. Ralph Beckett's juvenile kept on well to get second on Lingfield's Polytrack last time on only his second racecourse start. The way he knuckled down to his task was encouraging and a similar effort here will suffice. Strenue is not one of Mick Channon's flyers, but never rule out a Barry Hills runner on the Fibresand so Angel Annie cannot be dismissed entirely. She set a steady pace on her Newmarket debut, eventually finishing third and was not done any favours by scrimmaging on the home turn on her Polytrack debut at Lingfield. She still got third place though and another good run can be expected, without quite being good enough to beat Toro Bravo.
