There is no doubting that Cresswell Quay lines up at the top of his form, having rattled up a hat-trick of wins over fences in less than a month. Peter Bowen's nine-year-old is still not badly treated on his previous form and should once again take all the beating despite his rise in the weight. Just for good measure Barry Geraghty has been booked to ride. It is hard to make solid claims for most of his rivals, although Toulouse-Lautrec will appreciate the trip. He was rather fortunate on his last visit here when capitalising on the last-fence fall of Canon Barney and this contest is a grade lower. Brendan Powell had a welcome winner on Wednesday and Glanamana can be expected to give a good show. In fact, taken literally, he is much better off with Creswell Quay compared to when they met at Warwick, but the suspicion is that his conqueror will again prove too strong. Indiscreet ran better than he has done for some time when third to the selection at Fontwell but on the same terms cannot hope to turn the tables. Regal River needs it like a bog and will be staying on at the end.
