King's Majesty and Valdan will both be popular here but we will take them on with AHLAWY at what will hopefully be a price. Mick Easterby's gelding comes here after a break and occasionally goes in at around 10f on turf. Only two previous tries on artificial surfaces have proved abortive so he is therefore arguably unexposed on the polytrack. He has a good draw here in stall two, he is on a handy mark and the first-time blinkers can help him get home in front. King's Majesty has been out of form over the sticks this summer and we have to go back to his last run on the level to see a win. That came at Lingfield in December, and from the same mark here you couldn't rule him out. Valdan is up 8lb for a Great Leighs win, but he did that comfortably and may well be up to defying the rise. Harare looks handicapped to the hilt now, while c&d specialist Machinate needs a favour from the assessor too, and we'll take a chance on Ahlawy.
