A big field here, from which the only one really to have any appeal is CARLTON SCROOP, but a case could be made for Ramvaswani and Bold Adventure. The selection has won off a higher mark than this previously, but not over this trip, at which he's been placed once, and that was on his penultimate outing. He's more used to racing at up to a mile and a half, but in this company he should be able to get the longer distance. Bold Adventure landed two legs of a hat-trick here nearly 18 months ago, but again it was over a shorter distance. Ramvaswani is 0 from 33, so hardly encouraging, but he showed up well when runner up at Southwell recently in his first flat outing for a year. He was then down the field when attempting to follow up here, but the longer trip should suit more. He looks to be the pick of the two Neil King runners. Global Traffic has only tried this trip once before in more than 30 outings; a winner here over shorter, the step up in trip might be a concern. Any support for Brendan Duke's Openide would be interesting, another one returning to the flat, having his first all-weather outing for two years. Although failing to complete his last two races, he should get the trip as he's more used to chasing and hurdling. Getting the trip will be the negative about some of these, but the only one really in form at the moment is our selection, and that's Carlton Scroop.
