      Verdict

      A tricky contest to fathom this, with plenty of these having won over course and distance and in some decent form, but from a shortlist of Tuxedo, A Big Sky Brewing and RAVI RIVER, we'll side with the last named. He races here under a penalty after a comfortable win here in a better race on Tuesday; indeed since switching to Tom Dascombe's yard, he's been placed twice and won one in four runs. He's the in-form stable's only runner on the card and the only scheduled ride for Richard Kingscote. He was due to run last night at Kempton, so that race should be checked out. Tuxedo is more lightly raced and won three of his last four outings, all of which have been at Kempton. They were all over this trip too, with the one blob coming when stepped up to a mile. A Big Sky Brewing is also at the bottom end of the weights and starting to show some decent form following an autumn break. Hughie Morrison does well here and brings Realt Na Mara here for his only runner on the night. Plenty here have chances and it could be a lively market, but our preference is for Ravi River.

      Ravi River (IRE) 9-4fav (9-3) Always prominent, raced keenly, led just inside final furlong, ran on, won at W'hampton 7f hcp 0-80 (4) pol beating Guildenstern (8-8) by 1l, 8 ran.
