Dice is probably high enough in the weights for what he has actually achieved and so we will turn to the nicely-bred WESTLIN' WINDS to make an impact on his handicap debut. Charlie Egerton's colt has shaped with a degree of promise in three maiden runs this year. A 60,000 Euros purchase, this horse is bred to win a classic and he may be well-treated off this opening mark of 71 if he can emulate some of his relatives. The drop back in trip will suit Primera Rossa, as it should for Merchant Man, whilst Sparkaway was a game winner of a weaker race at Yarmouth last time out and he needs to improve to defy this 6lb loftier perch. Worth A King's only has one win to his name from ten starts and the application of a visor last time suggests that he might not be putting it all in and he is not sure to get this trip, so a bigger threat may be the consistent Air Maze who looked a bit one-paced at Epsom last time and is capable of better. He finished ahead of Dice who didn't seem to be at home on the camber and with the step back up to this trip in his favour he looks sure to bounce back to form. An open handicap, but the vote goes to Westlin' Winds.
