SNOWBERRY HILL was given a good ride on Saturday (and the second home a poor ride it must be said) and he still looks capable of winning off this current mark of 55. Lucinda Featherstone's gelding seemed to gel with Keiren Fallon when winning here at the weekend and he was value for more than the winning distance as he idled late on and drifted across the track. Whilst in this form he is quickly turned out and with Fallon on board again he looks worth siding with in a contest that lacks strong opposition. Bernabau is a course winner but he still has stamina to prove over this trip, Swords is a reliable sort but hasn't won for a while and despite the booking of Seb Sanders he is opposed, as is Dontpaytheferryman who is winless in 14 starts on the flat and looks a better hurdler. The step back up in trip will suit Thorny Mandate, Bute Street is not really bred to appreciate this huge step up in trip, whilst Debdene Bank is consistent if unspectacular. Little Carmela comes here on the back of a solid effort at Yarmouth and along with the visored-for-the-first-time Alvee needs respect, however it is Snowberry Hill where we can find our thrill.
