Golden Spectrum gets our vote to land the finale, with Scottish River and Mr Grand Lodge also worth considering. The selection is a course and distance winner and he arrives here in good form. However, the key to his chance tonight is in the saddle where Luke Morris takes 5lbs off his back, and as he is excellent value for his claim that could swing the race in his favour. Scottish Rover is respected as he has finally found his consistency this season but Hayley Turner has a dreadful strike-rate here and that does dampen our enthusiasm. Mr Grand Lodge is lightly-raced and respresents a top stable so he has to be afforded a good deal of respect. The booking of Jamie Spencer for Compton Eclipse catches the eye and he could fare best of the remainder, but we are sweet on the chance of Golden Spectrum who is the confident choice.
