In what looks a wide open maiden Merchant Of Dubai just gets the verdict ahead of Atabaas Pride and Diamond Lass. Alan Swinbank's charge improved on his debut run to chase home Bryan Smart's well regarded Unilateral, with more progression likely he looks the one to be on. Atabaas Pride is also going the right way and did well to finish runner up to a Karl Burke newcomer last time out. Karl is today represented by Cathedral Walk and any market move would be significant. However the most interesting newcomer is Richard Fahey's Diamond Lass, a suprebly bred daughter of Rock Of Gibralter. Call For Liberty is another worthy of a mention, but on this occasion we will go with experience and plump for Merchant Of Dubai.
