In depth

Verdict

Smash N' Grab looked on the way back to form last time out and Kevin Ryan's charge can get the better of Mambomoon and Cheery Cat. This lightly raced filly had found handicap company difficult until last month when going down by just over three lengths to Coconut Queen. She was leading at the furlong marker and so this drop in trip should suit and there will be no problems with the ground. Mambomoon hit winning form last time out, comfortably landing a class six event. He will find this company a little more taxing but he should still be fighting for a place. Cheery Cat beat today's rival Mangano back in June and ran well over course and distance last time out, suggesting he could still be on a decent enough mark. Aussie Blue ran a much better race last time out and looks best of the others, but Smash N' Grab looks the pick of the weights this afternoon and she gets our vote.
