A weak claimer opens the card and the vote is given to Bridgewater Boys who is taken to get the better of Brastar Jelois and Birthday Star. The selection lost no caste in defeat when showing improved form to chase home Sawaah at Lingfield last time. That form reads well in the context of this race and as we know he handles the surface he looks a solid bet. Brastar Jelois was a fair third behind Champagne Shadow last time but he looked a little one-paced that day and he will need to step-up on that effort to get his head in front. Birthday Star goes well here and he ran well over a longer trip last time when chasing home Mister Completely. The drop back in distance will not be a problem and he is entitled to plenty of respect. Bethanys Boy is a course and distance winner and has to be considered at this lowly level, but Bridgewater Boys arrives here in really good heart and should take plenty of beating.
