    Verdict

Stagecoach Emerald, Blue Hills and Hugs Destiny form the shortlist in this handicap and we will nominate Blue Hills as the one to beat. The selection is a course and distance winner and he hasn't been beaten far on each of his last two starts. He arrives here in good heart and he looks the percentage call. Stagecoach Emerald has now finished second on his last four outings and although on these terms he should be capable of beating our selection, his trend of finishing runner-up does temper confidence and he may just need this run after an absence from the track. Hugs Destiny has been disappointing on the turf of late but he is better on the all-weather and he should not be dismissed lightly. Mister Completely goes well here and he would have claims on his best form, but we will stick with Blue Hills who makes most appeal.
