Marko Jadeo opened his account in this country here over six furlongs last week and, along with Point Of Dispute, has to be respected but the vote goes to Distant Country. The selection has a string of consistent efforts to his name over similar trips this winter but has been given a break and Kieren Fallon takes over in the saddle today, which may be decisive factors. Top weight What-A-Dancer still seems to be fighting an unequal battle against the handicapper, while Mufreh could also do with being dropped a few pounds. Stoic Leader showed signs of a revival here over the extended mile last time and may do better still dropped back to seven furlongs but a bigger threat is likely to come from Point Of Dispute. The David Evans-trained gelding may be 2lbs wrong at the weights but had slipped to an attractive mark and is well treated on his old form. Marko Jadeo has more to do than when winning over six furlongs last week and preference is for Distant Country who is taken to gain an overdue success.
