Red Spell can again have the measure of Northside Lodge, with Penwell Hill and Black Falcon others worth considering. A total of 13 runners have been declared for the evening's feature race, but if Red Spell quickly adapts to Wolverhampton then he will make them all go. Richard Hannon's three-year-old was given a great ride to get the mile and a quarter by Richard Hughes at the Surrey track and he did it well. Connections would like to think about aiming him for races such as the LIncoln and Royal Hunt Cup next year, so he should take this in his stride. Strictly at the weights, Northside Lodge should turn the tables on Red Spell on that Lingfield form but the latter has the class to withstand a rise. Penwell Hill made all at Southwell and his inclusion in the line-up should set the race up for the selection, while Black Falcon has more to do than when getting the race in the stewards room on his last visit here. All in all, Red Spell is taken to pull out the extra necessary to follow up.
