PIPERS PIPING looks very well treated ahead of his return to the course and gets a confident vote to send punters home happy. Paul Howling's gelding is a course and distance winner who responds well to this rider and he's really bounced back to form on turf of late. The handicapper rates him a 3lb better horse on turf but his strike-rate on this surface would suggest otherwise and he's now 4lbs below his last all-weather winning mark; we expect him to take full advantage. Charlietoo is tried in blinkers but he's yet to win and hasn't performed close to his best here, so those looking for an each-way play could do worse than Thistimesforgood especially if the market suggests a big run is likely from the Irish raider who broke his duck here back in 2006. Emperor's Well hasn't won for over two years and finds this trip a bit sharp, as does the less exposed Bring Sweets, while It's A Mans World needs to improve for the fitting of cheekpieces.
