        Verdict

        Sir Mark Prescott's BARALAKA has shown improved form of late, winning his maiden at Kempton before landing a handicap at Epsom at the beginning of the month when staying on well over 1m4f and he can complete a hat-trick stepping up further in trip. Mark Johnston's Akbabend has been running consistently well and should be thereabouts again but looks booked for a place at best, while stable companion Cloudy City remains a maiden after nine starts. Mark Usher's Calculating is now 5lb higher than when scoring at Southwell three starts ago and looks too high in the weights. Mahmood Al Zarooni's Reality Show has harshly gone up 8lb for his win here in July but has maintained his form well in two starts on turf since then. Walter Swinburn's Hendersyde could be of interest on his reappearance but a safer option looks to be Baralaka.
