Mark Johnston's Always Dixie was collared late on by Al Shababiya at Brighton at the beginning of the month and deserves to get her head in front but she has been raised a further 2lb since her most recent outing and may be found wanting again. James Mackie's Aegean Destiny has been given a real chance by the handicapper having been dropped to mark of 53, 6lb lower than when a good second at Ripon last time, and she has every chance if able to run to a similar level of form back on the Polytrack. Mick Channon's Il Portico has been running consistently well on turf of late and has claims on his Polytrack debut but a better bet looks to be CONSULT, who gets the verdict in a competitive event. Sir Mark Prescott's gelding has improved for the step up in trip in recent starts and looks worth siding with racing off what seems a fair mark.
