In depth

Verdict

Borzoi Maestro is a tentative choice in a wide open seller, Red Sovereign and Feminist could provide most danger. The key to this contest could be a race over this trip at Southwell back in January. Henry Tun beat our selection by a short head, with Red Sovereign back in sixth. Borzoi Maestro is five pounds better off with that winner and should easily reverse the form. Red Sovereign is in fact worse off at the weights and should be held, although he did improve to win here last time out. The fly in the ointment could be Feminist. Milton Bradley's four-year-old has been running consistently in banded company and receives plenty of weight from her main rivals. The pick of the remainder could be Blue Moon Hitman, but Borzoi Maestro is the pick of the weights today.
